Who we are

Mission Statement

Our mission is to walk alongside parents facing a new autism diagnosis, providing clarity, compassion, and a supportive community every step of the way.

Our Story

Born from our own personal experiences and deep self-reflection, my wife and I felt called to step into an underserved area of need. We founded Captain’s Place to be a supportive resource for families—with a focus on fathers—who often feel lost when navigating fatherhood after a child is diagnosed with autism.

When that diagnosis comes, many fathers are left wondering how to connect, lead, and parent in a way that feels unfamiliar, as the dreams they once held begin to change. Captain’s Place exists to help dads and families find direction, purpose, and hope as they learn to parent their child with confidence and love.

With divorce rate being many times higher for couples who have a child diagnosed with Autism, we chose to focus on the causes and solutions to helping them stay united while navigating the world of Autism.
